RideShare and RideShare Etiquette:

About RideShare:

RideShare is also called carpool. In carpool, two or more people travel together in one vehicle. The persons traveling together can be co-workers, friends, neighbors, friends, family members, roommates, or someone you find through our rideshare system. Collectively, the carpool participants make up the rules.

Possible carpool ways:

  1. One person driving, passengers split the gas and toll fees.
  2. Participants share driving, everyone share the cost.
  3. All participants meet in one agreed place.
  4. Driver picks up the participants.

RideShare Etiquette:

To make your travel easy and pleasant, here are some etiquette:

  1. Be there on time, call ahead if you expect to be late.
  2. Notice your carpool friend one week ahead about your vacation and time off.
  3. Discuss and agree on terms, such as cost sharing, driving, smoking, eating, drinking, radio use and temperature
  4. Keep your vehicle safe, clean and neat.
  5. Fill your vehicle with enough gas for the trip.
  6. Discuss your allergs with your carpool friend.
